 MB Jewelry & Beads opened in March of 2003 in a small obscure building.  Since then it has grown and relocated to its Laurens Street location.  MB Jewelry & Beads is locally owned  by Artistic Jewelry Designer, Mary O'Hare.

The shops location in the historic Croft Building creates a quaint and cozy atomsphere.  There are five rooms for shoppers to browse through.  Each with their own theme.  I researched old City records and found that the first business ever opened in our Laurens Street location was Mills Jewelry opened in the late 1890's.  I found that quite intresting since we are a Bead & Jewelry store.

The Stone Room:  The walls in this room are graced with semi-precious gemstones.  Currently we have more then 60 differant gemstones in stock.  Here is where you will find a wide variety of Jaspers, Agate, Quartz and more.  Some of the stones include: Kamba Jasper, Tiger Eye, Grey Hawk's Eye Quartz, Wood Jasper, Ryolite, Rose Quartz, Picture Stone, Oregon Picture Jasper, Flourite, Obsidian, Onyx, Hematite, and more. 

The Glass Room: This is where you can find a Rainbow of Czech Crystals in sizes from 3mm to 8mm.  There is also a large selection of Pressed Glass beads, Hurricane Glass, Chinese & Lampwork beads in a variety of shapes & sizes.  For the Seed Beader there are two walls full of these tiny little beauties from Japan.  We carry Toho's ~  Delica's  ~ Myuiki and Czech Seed Beads in a vast rainbow of colors.  They range in size from 11/0 to 6/0.  You can choose from  Round , Cylinder, Hex, Triangle, Drops or Bugle Beads.   

The Findings Room:  Here you will find  a wide selection of Gold & Silver Plated beads, Spacers, Ear Wires, Pewter, Copper, Head pins, Clasps and more.  Tools and all your stringing material can also be found here.  The beading area is in the back of this room.  It is a nice cozy place to sit and bead your own.  Workshops are also held in this area.

The Jewelry Room:  Beautiful Jewelry designed by Mary is displayed in this room.  Ready for you to purchase or get design ideas from.  Mary's jewelry is unique and her 30 years experience shines through in here designs.

The Great Room:  This is our front room where you will be met with a smile.  This room has a comfortable area where someone can browse through a magazine while you shop.  A display case is full of lots of unique jewelry.  One wall is full of bead and pearl strands just waiting for you to create a special piece from them.  You can also find a selection of Focal beads and Sterling Silver Beads.
